Contego
Aluminium skirting board.
The push & press skirting board with integrated cable ducts
The centrepiece of Contego is a plastic element with guide rails for the cables. It is simply screwed to the wall and covered with a high quality skirting board of silvercoloured anodized aluminium. Practical detail: the cover of the connector system is snapped into the plastic element mounted on the wall. This unobtrusive mounting without any visible screws makes the aluminium skirting board look very sleek in modern-style rooms.
Compensating for sinking
When new floors sink the impression is given that the skirting boards were mounted too high. Contego resolves this problem with an integrated snap-in system which allows the aluminium cover to be adjusted to the wall-mounted plastic element. With a push and press movement the skirting board will be perfectly aligned to the level of the floor.
Rubber lips for sealing
Where necessary, a special rubber lip can be used to seal any gaps. It is inserted at the bottom of the aluminium skirting board. If the rubber seal is not needed the lower part of the plastic element is removed at the predetermined breaking point. The plastic element mounted on the wall will always be aligned at the correct height and, together with the aluminium cover, gives an even termination.
Flexible cable entry and exit points
Predetermined breaking points in the connecting pieces enable the cables to be inserted or extracted to round-off the impression of contemporary architecture.
